Much-loved features in a new design: NEFF presents the Matt Black Design range

Inspired by the design trend for matt kitchen furniture, built-in appliance specialist NEFF has developed a complete range of appliances with a matt finish. The brand’s Matt Black Design reflects very little light and exudes a gentle warmth that makes the appliances blend in with the surrounding furniture and lends the whole kitchen an inviting atmosphere. The new range includes ovens, a fully automatic coffee machine, a warming drawer, the innovative steam drawer, induction and venting hobs and an inclined hood which can be combined to suit the needs and preferences of creative cooks.

Unique features for enthusiastic cooks

The ovens in NEFF’s Matt Black Design range offer functions such as baking, roasting, hot-air frying, microwave cooking and steaming. With such a wide range of options, every creative cook can customise the choice of appliances to suit individual cooking preferences.

The new design line also features the legendary NEFF innovation Slide & Hide®, the only oven door that slides smoothly away underneath the oven, giving unrestricted access to its interior.

All ovens can be operated via their intuitive TFT touchscreen user interface. NEFF’s top-of-the-range N90 models are equipped with Flex Control, the brand’s unique user interface which allows operation not only via the touchscreen but also using the movable magnetic Twist Pad Flex[1]– or a combination of both. As part of NEFF’s intelligent operating philosophy, the same Twist Pad Flex is also used in hobs and coffee machines.

The appliances in the new design range can be perfectly combined thanks to NEFF’s unique Seamless Combination® system: this system uses side trims to ensure a seamless transition between stacked appliances, whilst the intermediate shelf allows the appliances to be installed one above the other, so that they appear as a single unit.

In contrast to the matt finish of the appliances, the TFT touchscreen has a glossy finish, which ensures excellent readability and provides a contrast to the surrounding surfaces. And when it comes to scratches, the new ovens are just as scratch-resistant as those with a glossy finish.

The partner for culinary expressions

Thanks to the matt finish of NEFF’s induction and venting hobs, greasy fingerprints and streaks are much less noticeable, and scratches caused, for example, by moving cookware or by salt or sugar are 5 times less visible than on glossy hobs.[2]

To ensure it blends perfectly with the matt black finish of the hobs, NEFF’s iconic Twist Pad Flex®, which allows for precise and effortless control of the hob, can be chosen in the colour Deep Black. It is magnetic and removable, and featured on many of the brand’s induction and venting hob models. The cooking zones can be easily activated by first tilting the control knob and then turning it to select the desired heat setting.

To make the cooking experience as enjoyable as possible many hobs are fitted with intuitive Flex Zones. These zones automatically detect the size, shape and position of the cookware. If pots or pans are moved, the hob automatically transfers the settings to the new zone. When larger cookware is used, the hob combines two zones into one large zone.

NEFF hobs also feature the Extended Frying Sensor, an intelligent temperature control system that helps to maintain precisely the temperature which can be set between 70 and 220 °C. Unlike with ovens, the temperature of a hob continues to rise unless it is manually turned down. This can lead to sugar or chocolate, for example, burning. Thanks to the Extended Frying Sensor, sugar caramelises exactly as intended and chocolate melts just as it should.

Fresh air any time

As part of its Matt Black Design range, NEFF presents an angled cooker hood that offers maximum headroom, provides an unobstructed view of the hob and thus allows creativity in the kitchen to run free. NEFF’s matt inclined hood is equipped with Smart Hood Automatic, an intelligent function that regulates the air extraction power to match the hob’s settings. As soon as cooking begins, the hood switches on automatically and adjusts the extraction power independently – provided that both the hood and the hob are connected to a NEFF Home Connect account.[3]

The inclined hood from NEFF’s Matt Black Design range is characterised by its deep, light-absorbing black finish, which contrasts with the glossy touch control panel. The Matt Black Design also ensures reflections are reduced, creating a calm, elegant look – whilst being just as scratch-resistant as a glossy finish. In addition to the inclined hood, selected decorative box hoods and integrated design hoods are available with a matching matt finish.

All appliances in NEFF’s new Matt Black Design range are easily cleaned, using a gentle cleaning agent or even glass cleaner to wipe down the surfaces and control panels. They complement each other perfectly and blend seamlessly with other finishes, colours and materials in the kitchen. Their contrasting finishes make the kitchen a joy to look at and, above all, a place to cook and socialise.

Whilst the hobs from the Matt Black Design range are already available on the market, the inclined hood will be launched in September 2026; the ovens, drawers and coffee machine will follow in January 2027.
