Personalized and unique: The Flex Concept by NEFF - Kitchen planning reimagined

On September 16, 2023, NEFF unveiled the new NEFF Collection, marking the home appliance manufacturer’s largest product update to date since the company’s founding. Numerous design and technical innovations, including a world first, demonstrate how the operation and combination of individual appliances transform today’s kitchen into the kitchen of the future.
The Flex Concept
With the Flex Concept, NEFF is taking an extraordinary approach to reimagining the kitchen space. In doing so, the brand is following the megatrend of individualization and placing people’s personal needs at the center. Through various elements such as customizable controls, a freely selectable design across four product categories, and special technical features, NEFF embraces a holistic view of appliance combinations in the kitchen and moves away from the concept of individual built-in appliances.
NEFF’s Unique Selling Points
Over the years, the company has managed to continuously advance kitchen technology with various unique selling points, such as the fully retractable oven door Slide & Hide® or the Twist Pad® — the special one-button control. In the new NEFF Collection, these unique selling points return in a redesigned form and are complemented by two additional features: Flex Control—a world first in appliance control — and the Flex Design approach. The combination of these four unique selling points offers entirely new possibilities and makes kitchen planning more personalized and flexible than ever before.
Open to Intuition – Twist Pad Flex®
NEFF’s unique single-button control – the Twist Pad® – is now available with additional functions and in four bold colors. Reason enough to honor this new flexibility in the naming as well: Twist Pad® becomes Twist Pad Flex®. While control via the handy rotary dial was previously reserved for the cooktop, it will now also be available on the oven and fully automatic coffee machines. Thanks to its magnetic properties, the Twist Pad Flex® can be easily and intuitively attached to the respective home appliance and conveniently operated with a single finger.
Paving the way for a world first in appliance control – Flex Control
The high-resolution 6.8-inch premium display takes center stage in the NEFF universe for the new unique selling point, Flex Control. It is built into fully automatic coffee machines and ovens from the NEFF Collection and offers a flexible interface that can be operated either by finger tap or via the Twist Pad Flex®. The display reacts in real time and immediately recognizes which operating mode is currently selected. With ovens, it’s even possible to connect two of the intuitive control knobs to it. This way, everyone who wants to adjust both the temperature and the operating mode “with a single twist” gets what they’re looking for. Ultimately, the display’s obvious benefits are there for everyone: they show the selected settings even larger and with greater visual clarity—regardless of how they were selected. Your very own personal touch or twist. A world first in the home appliance industry!
Open to individual style – Flex Design
With Flex Design, the style of your kitchen can now be customized even more flexibly and changed to suit your preferences at any time. For ovens, cooktops, range hoods, or fully automatic coffee machines from the new NEFF Collection, design elements such as the oven handle, side trim, or the Twist Pad Flex® are now available in four colors: Brushed Bronze, Anthracite Grey, Metallic Silver, and Deep Black. Should the desire for a change in the kitchen grow over time, these elements can be purchased in one of the other colors to add new accents. It’s easy to do yourself: “Click & Change.” NEFF’s Seamless Combination® — a method for using the outer side panels to present multiple appliances stacked on top of each other as a single visual unit — will also be available in eight lengths instead of the previous two. This brings the total number of possible combinations to 19 for seamlessly stacking various home appliances, e.g., a matching trio consisting of a microwave above the oven and a warming drawer below.
Open like no other – Slide & Hide®
For over 20 years, NEFF’s retractable oven door has been something truly special. “Made in Germany” from the very beginning, the still-unique Slide & Hide® oven in the NEFF Collection 2023/24 will be even higher in quality in terms of function and design, for example thanks to the new, convenient soft-close function. In addition, the features from the Flex Concept elevate the level of customization of the Slide & Hide® ovens to a previously unseen level. For example, the personalized color selection for the oven handle and side trim, or the innovative premium display that allows the oven to be controlled via touch or twist.
“With the new NEFF Collection and the Flex Concept, we offer a unique range of built-in appliances. This gives our customers the opportunity to customize their own kitchen and to change its design and operation themselves at any time,” says Marco Tümler, Managing Director of NEFF. “And that’s just the beginning: We will continue to develop the Flex Concept to stay ahead of tomorrow’s trends today,” he adds.
The new NEFF Collection will be available in stores starting in September 2023.
