Jula Holding aims to achieve a Sustainable IT Environment with the help from Nexer and IBM

April 11 – Jula Holding, one of the largest "Do it yourself" chains in the Nordics, is taking a significant step towards its goal of being carbon neutral by 2030 through a partnership with tech companies Nexer and IBM. Jula Holding has successfully implemented Nexer Clean's solution, Discovery, which provides a comprehensive overview of the company's IT landscape. Optimizing the IT environment is crucial for ensuring a secure IT infrastructure, streamlining work processes, and reducing environmental impact.

Jula Holding aims to be carbon neutral by 2030. A key measure to achieve this goal is to ensure a sustainable IT environment. Together with Nexer, an IBM Business Partner and IBM, Jula Holding has carried out an IT inventory project that has enabled a complete overview of the company's IT landscape, laying the groundwork for IT system optimization and cost savings. To further enhance their Discovery solution, Nexer Clean has integrated IBM Automation technology into the solution. With the improved and more efficient IT environment now established, Jula Holding will be able to reduce its energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.

Through Nexer's solution, Jula Holding has gained a comprehensive view and review of its complex IT environment. The solution maps and analyzes all IT infrastructure, applications, and data flows, providing a detailed picture of the business's digital DNA. During the inventory of Jula Holding's IT environment, dependencies between different services were identified, where outdated technology is installed, which SaaS solutions are used in the organization, and where consolidation opportunities exist.
