Nexer part of the global jury for Nordic Women in Tech Awards

Nordic Women in Tech Awards (NWiTA) is an annual event arranged by the non-profit organisation Wonder Coders. The purpose is to celebrate the achievements of women in tech and support diversity in the tech industry.

This year’s NWiTA event takes place on November 10 at Lindholmen Conference Centre, Gothenburg. It’s organised in collaboration with Women in Tech Gothenburg.

During the event, the winners among 50 shortlisted nominees in different categories will be announced and celebrated. The judging committee consists of founders, innovators, CEOs, leaders and tech experts whose work has impacted the tech industry.

“It’s a fact that women are underrepresented in tech. So all initiatives that support a more inclusive industry are not only important for gender equality per se – they will also lead to better and more diverse tech solutions. This is important for all women in tech today but also for coming generations. For me, it’s a great honour to be part of the global jury for NWiTA”, says Beatrice Silow, Communications and Culture Manager at Nexer Group.

Nexer’s efforts to rectify the imbalance in diversity and gender equality within the tech industry have paved the way for partnerships with several organisations, e.g. Star for Life, Kodcentrum and WIT (Women in Tech) Venture Studio. In addition, Nexer organises female networks with Q Collective and Nexer Network: Women.

“We share Nexer’s vision of a promising future with more women as entrepreneurs in tech. Initiatives like NWiTA are completely in line with this vision. By highlighting the outstanding women already in tech and sharing their success stories with the general public, we can attract and inspire more women to take on the challenging and exciting path in the tech industry”, says Malin Frithiofsson, founder and CEO of WIT Venture Studio.
