NGK launches a dedicated website showing detailed features, product updates and application examples for its EnerCera battery

NGK INSULATORS, LTD. ("NGK") launches a dedicated website to showcase the potential applications of EnerCera’s lineup.

On the website, both EnerCera Pouch and Coin are introduced in detail, including product features and specifications. Furthermore, numerous examples of applications are introduced, allowing engineers and researchers to get inspired by the potential solutions that EnerCera can realize. NGK will continue to update and add more showcases to the website.

NGK develops high heat resistance lithium-ion battery achieving an operating temperature of up to 105°C

NGK INSULATORS, LTD. has successfully raised the maximum operating temperature of its coin-type "EnerCera Coin" (part of the "EnerCera®" series) battery up to 105 degrees Celsius. Sample shipments are currently underway, with mass production scheduled to begin in September 2020. The battery’s potential applications primarily include automotive and industrial IoT devices.

NGK INSULATORS, LTD. announced that it will commence mass production of “EnerCera Coin,” a coin type cell in the “EnerCera” series of power sources for IoT devices, in December. NGK further announced that it has successfully developed a new high heat resistance type cell that is the world’s first* lithium (Li)-ion secondary battery capable of operating at 85 degrees Celsius.
