NGK Selected as an “A List” Company, the Highest Rating, in CDP Water Security for Two Consecutive Years
NGK INSULATORS, LTD. (hereinafter “NGK”), based in Nagoya, Japan, announced that it has been selected as an “A List” company, the highest rating, in CDP Water Security. The selection was made by CDP, an international non-profit organization that operates an environmental information disclosure system. This marks the second consecutive year that NGK has been selected as an A List company, following its selection in fiscal 2024.
CDP is an international non-profit organization that discloses environmental data obtained from companies and municipalities, evaluating their activities related to climate change, water security, and forests. CDP holds environmental data from companies and municipalities worldwide. In 2025, approximately 22,100 companies, a record-high number of organizations, disclosed environmental data through CDP. In CDP Water Security, CDP evaluates and reports companies’ activities to manage water risks and ensure the sustainable use of water resources.
In the NGK Group Environmental Vision, which was formulated in April 2021, the NGK Group aims to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality, a circular society and harmony with nature through its business activities. As part of this, NGK is pursuing the sustainable use of water resources through initiatives such as identifying water-related risks and opportunities and considering response measures at sites worldwide using scenario analysis and developing and promoting widespread use of water-related products that contribute to environmental protection. This year, NGK was recognized for clarifying its environmental policies and strengthening collaboration with its value chain. Going forward, NGK will take steps such as expanding the introduction of recycled water-based systems to production processes and enhancing water resources management at a high water-risk sites, thereby facilitating even more effective use of water resources.
