NGK Selected as a “Supplier Engagement Leader,” the Highest Rating, in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for the Second Consecutive Year

NGK Corporation (hereinafter “NGK”) has been selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating in the fiscal 2025 CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment. The selection was made by CDP, an international non-profit organization that operates an environmental information disclosure system. NGK has now received this recognition for the second consecutive year, following its selection in fiscal 2024.

CDP is an international non-profit organization that discloses environmental data obtained from companies and municipalities, evaluating their activities related to climate change, water security, and forests. CDP holds environmental data from companies and municipalities worldwide. In fiscal 2025, approximately 22,100 organizations disclosed environmental information through CDP.

The Supplier Engagement Assessment reviews how companies address climate change issues throughout their supply chains. Companies that achieve the highest rating among those disclosing environmental information are recognized as Supplier Engagement Leaders.

Based on the NGK Group Environmental Vision, established in April 2021, the NGK Group is working toward the realization of carbon neutrality, a circular society, and harmony with nature. As part of these efforts, NGK is advancing initiatives to visualize Scope 3 emissions*1 and establish reduction targets, while strengthening collaboration with suppliers and customers. In fiscal 2025, NGK conducted surveys on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reduction targets with approximately 200 key suppliers and promoted the sharing of policies and mutual understanding through briefing sessions and individual dialogues.
NGK believes that its selection as a Supplier Engagement Leader reflects the international recognition of these ongoing initiatives and will continue to accelerate its efforts toward the realization of a carbon-neutral society.

NGK has also been selected as an” A List” company, the highest rating in CDP Water Security, for the second consecutive year, recognizing its efforts to ensure the sustainable use of water resources.*2 The NGK Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by leveraging its proprietary ceramic technologies to support the future of energy, environmental protection, and industrial development.
