Immersive Service Learning Takes NIST Students to Cambodia

Service learning at NIST places students in impoverished communities, where they work with locals to identify and solve developmental needs. In October a group of 22 year 12 students and four teachers visited Knapor, Cambodia. Over four days, they immersed themselves in the village’s daily life, conducting a comprehensive needs analysis and developing their own skills in development strategies.
