CIC Hospitality signs third lease in Germany for Radisson hotel in Munich's Xperience Quartier
Oslo-based hotel operator CIC Hospitality has established Germany as its fourth market and its first outside the Nordics. With Flightgate Munich Airport Hotel in operation since May, Mercure Living Heide opening around the turn of the year, and a newly signed lease for a Radisson hotel in Taufkirchen south of Munich, the company now has around 440 rooms in operation or under development in Germany.
CIC Hospitality was founded in Oslo in 2018 and today operates around 30 hotels across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The German expansion builds on the model the company has developed in the Nordics: technology-driven, centralized operations and locations with stable, year-round demand near airports, hospitals and business clusters.
Flightgate Munich Airport Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals
In May 2026, CIC Hospitality took over operation of the 212-room Flightgate Munich Airport Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals, on a long-term lease with Rock Capital Group. The hotel is located in the SKYGATE complex in Hallbergmoos, close to Munich Airport, which handled 43.4 million passengers in 2025.
Mercure Living Heide
Mercure Living Heide opens ealy next year in the center of Heide, between Hamburg and Flensburg. The new-build hotel has 106 rooms, 27 of them with kitchenettes, and is the first Mercure Living hotel in Germany. It is designed for guests on longer stays, serving both the regional business community and leisure travelers on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein.
Radisson Hotel Munich South
CIC Hospitality has signed a long-term lease with Art-Invest Real Estate for a Radisson hotel with more than 120 rooms in the Xperience Quartier in Taufkirchen, south of Munich. The hotel will be operated in partnership with Radisson Hotel Group, with opening planned for early 2028. The quarter is part of a research and technology cluster, with Hensoldt, Airbus and Panasonic as neighbors.
Growth beyond the Nordics
"Germany is the natural next step for us. We enter with the same model we have built in the Nordics: locations with predictable demand year-round, efficient operations, and strong brand partners with Radisson and Accor. Three hotels in three very different locations show that the model works outside the Nordics as well, and we see further opportunities in Germany and the rest of Europe," says Matthias Tanski, CEO of CIC Hospitality.
