Ignis receives USD 2.5 million tunable laser order

Oslo, January 27, 2010: Ignis ASA’s wholly owned subsidiary Syntune AB has been awarded a USD 2.5 million order with a possible contract extension for delivery of tunable lasers to one of its main customers. The order will be delivered during 2011.

We continue to see strong demand both from existing and new customers, which bodes well for our growth going forward. We are moving full speed ahead with our program to increase manufacturing capacity to take on more volumes, says Patrik Evaldsson, CEO in Ignis Syntune.

Tunable lasers are critical components to ensure flexibility and cost efficiency in high-speed broadband communications networks, where traffic growth currently is being driven by a wave of new content-rich data applications.
