Connecting Norway to Silicon Valley - Silicon Vikings Oslo Turns One

Oslo, Norway – March 18, 2013

When it’s your birthday, you throw a party, and Silicon Vikings Oslo is no exception. Silicon Vikings Oslo would like to invite you to their first birthday party on April 4th at 6pm at Advokatfirmaet Haavind. “What could be better than having a night with focus on the founder of fame in the valley, Steve Jobs - discuss branding and Bob Dylan? Sounds like a good recipe for a fun night,” says Tone S. Ringstad Chairman of the Board for Silicon Vikings Oslo.

“We are proud to say that The Silicon Vikings Oslo Chapter has proven to be an inspiring arena for entrepreneurs and innovation leaders during our first year. Our focus is to expand our network through collaboration with other networks to build more relevance and connection opportunities for our members”, Ringstad says.

Silicon Vikings Oslo has in its first year created a solid platform for connecting people to their network in Silicon Valley. Five major events were arranged, with key relevant speakers, for more than 300 people.

“Our mission is to create and connect a network for start-ups and business in Norway and Oslo to our network in Silicon Valley. Our events focus on sharing knowledge, cultural insight and networking and we hope to see both existing and new members at our birthday party on April 4th”, says Tone S. Ringstad.
