Veeam Virtual Lab for Hyper-V i den kommende Backup & Replication v7

Veeam kunngjorde i dag at Virtual Lab for Windows Server Hyper-V er en av de løsningene som vil bli inkludert i Veeam Backup & Replication v7. Virtual Lab er et kraftig verktøy som også er enkel å bruke og som sikrer sikkerhet, ytelse og tilgjengelighet i Hyper-V-miljøer.

Virtual Labs jobber godt sammen med Veeam vPower som gjør det mulig for brukere å kjøre virtuelle maskiner direkte fra en komprimert backupfil fra en standard lagringsenhet. Med vPower kan en virtuell maskin kjøres fra et gjenopprettingspunkt i sin helhet uten endringer i sikkerhetskopien.

Nye funksjoner som er gjort mulig ved en kombinasjon av vPower og Virtual Lab for Hyper-V er bl.a.:

• SureBackup: Fjerner risiko forbundet med backup ved kontinuerlig å teste og verifisere gjenopprettingsmulighetene for hver virtuelle maskin uten at det verken kreves tid eller krefter fra systemadministratoren.
  
• U-AIR (Universal Application-Item Recovery):  Gir rask, agentløs gjenoppretting av individuelle objekter fra valgfrie virtualiserte applikasjoner. Hvis en bruker ved et uhell sletter et viktig dokument eller kjører et skript som resulterer i uønsket endring, hjelper U-AIR administratorer ved enkelt å gjenopprette tapte eller ødelagte filer.
  
• On-Demand Sandbox: Gir deg muligheten til å kjøre virtuelle maskiner i et isolert miljø fra eksisterende sikkerhetskopier. I stedet for å bruke produksjonsressurser på å gjenopprette sikkerhetskopier, kan virtuelle miljøer lages "på farten".

Veeam Extends Award-Winning Innovations to Windows Server Hyper-V

Groundbreaking Capabilities for Hyper-V Backup: SureBackup, Universal Application-Item Recovery (U-AIR) and On-Demand Sandbox
