Three new investment partners join Norselab

Norselab strengthens its investment team with experienced growth and scaling professionals Heidi Kopperud, Jean-Guillaume Marquaire, and Alexander Farooq.

Meaningful Equity II, Norselab’s second impact fund in the venture space, was launched earlier this year. With an uncompromising focus on impact, the fund invests in meaningful, fast-growing companies and has already announced its first investment into circular logistics company Wanda. Too Good To Go alumni Ann Kristin Pfründer was the first new investment partner to join Norselab. Now new investment partners Heidi Kopperud, Jean-Guillaume Marquaire, and Alexander Farooq are joining the team . Together, they will identify the most meaningful investment opportunities and actively accelerate the fund’s portfolio companies’ growth and impact potential. They will also contribute to cases across funds within their respective areas of expertise.

SaaS and Marketing specialist

Heidi Kopperud is an experienced entrepreneur and marketing expert with extensive experience from several successful SaaS companies.

Her past experience includes the position as Co-founder and Marketing Manager at Videonor, the company today known as Whereby. Heidi continued her career with vast commercial responsibilities, holding executive positions at Atea and Visolit, where she served as the Nordic Director of Marketing, Communication, and Service Development.

Her knowledge and experience from startups, scaleups, and SMEs will be valuable in speeding the growth of companies that make every new user and customer count towards creating a more sustainable world.

Food Systems expert

Jean-Guillaume Marquaire is a seasoned business operator and venture investor within the Food & Beverage space. After a stint in management consulting and an entrepreneurial experience in the EdTech space, he spent a few years in various international management roles for multinationals and scale-ups within the F&B industry. Since 2018, he has been involved in dozens of transactions in the agri-food space, both as an advisor and an active early-stage investor.

His deep sectoral knowledge in the FoodTech and AgTech industry aligns seamlessly with the world’s need to produce enough safe and nutritious food for a growing global population while taking better care of available resources. Jean-Guillaume has made it its mission to grow meaningful cases contributing to resource efficiency in food production and fighting the food industry's current system flaws and wasteful practices.

Growth strategist

Alexander is an investor and strategist who has played a central role in growing and mentoring several early-stage tech companies through the investment lifecycle. With experience from hundreds of early stage assessments and numerous investments in the Nordics and Southeast Asia, he knows what it takes to bring a company to the next level.

He acquired solid expertise in private equity, M&A, strategy, and operations while working as an investment manager at Kistefos, and as a strategy consultant at KPMG Deal Advisory and PA Consulting Group. He has the ambition to grow and scale the companies in Meaningful Equity II that tackle serious, large-scale challenges that our world needs to solve.
