Press release -

Nysnø Invests in Antler's Second Fund for Startups in the Nordics

Stavanger, September 6, 2023

Antler is the most active early-stage technology investor in Europe. Now, Nordic Fund II is being launched to strengthen startup programs in the Nordics focused on climate and sustainability, with Nysnø investing alongside Ferd Impact, Vækstfonden, and Formue.

Antler empowers new companies to establish themselves through their tailored program for ambitious entrepreneurs and invests in the most promising ones. Since the inception of the first Nordic fund in 2019, Antler has invested in 140 companies across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Over 50% of these companies are contributing to addressing global climate and sustainability challenges. Antler Nordic Fund II will continue to accelerate the growth of climate technology companies in the Nordics.

- Through its unique program and network, Antler has successfully created hundreds of exciting companies for further growth. We look forward to being part of the next journey with new technology companies that will contribute to the fight against the climate crisis, said Investment Manager Guro Skjæveland.

Since its establishment in 2016, the global team at Antler has built a dynamic ecosystem consisting of over 600 mentors, experts, industry players, and investors. This ecosystem means that new Nordic companies have access to expertise, experience, networks, and venture capital. In addition, it is building international bridges for faster global scaling. Such a global network for further scaling will stimulate a growing Nordic venture environment and help more companies succeed in the early stages.

- We look beyond the Nordic borders when recruiting entrepreneurs for our programs, and several international candidates have moved to Norway to start a company through Antler. This internationalizes Antler and enables us to mobilize a diverse range of talent to the Nordics. At the same time, we bring companies formed in the Nordics to the global market to make a difference through targeted investments from the start with Antler Nordic Fund II, said Kristian Jul Røsjø, Partner at Antler.

Nysnø is investing 3 million euros in Antler Nordic Fund II.
