It's the connection that counts - LAPP establishes an end-to-end purchasing process with the help of OpusCapita

Dortmund/Stuttgart, July 21, 2020: The German family-owned company LAPP, a leading provider of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology, uses the Procurement SaaS solution from OpusCapita as the central procurement solution for the purchase of indirect materials and services to create an end-to-end process. Employees of the company can now request all products and services via a comprehensive and intuitive platform. The "Guided Buying" approach helps the purchasing department to push strategic purchasing goals and optimisations more strongly.

LAPP, based in Stuttgart, is one of the latest companies to adopt OpusCapita solutions. The medium-sized family-owned company is a leading supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology and thus a global player with approximately 4650 employees, 18 production sites and around 44 sales companies worldwide.

The successful introduction of the OpusCapita eProcurement SaaS solution was completed as planned and will enable LAPP to have a lean, end-to-end purchasing process. The deployment of the OpusCapita Online Product Catalog as a central procurement platform enables employees to purchase all products and services they require for their daily work. Employees can create requisitions via catalogs, free texts and smartforms.

All procurement workflows such as requisitioning, approvals, ordering and goods receiving are all controlled centrally via the platform. With direct connection to SAP, OpusCapita provides a true end-to-end purchasing process.

"We are very satisfied with the project implementation," says the Project Manager Eleni Jakovidou at LAPP and continues, "In OpusCapita we have found a reliable partner for the optimization of the purchasing processes at LAPP. Through the end-to-end end-to-end purchasing process, we reduce expenses and generate savings as well as further company-wide optimisations".

"We are pleased to have another satisfied customer in the OpusCapita community with LAPP. Although the solution was implemented close to the standard, individual requirements could also be taken into account, which also has a positive effect on the solution and thus on the entire OpusCapita community," says Robert Saenger, Head of Source-to-Pay Business Line at OpusCapita.

The LAPP purchasing department's agenda for the future includes topics such as the migration to SAP S4/HANA with parallel operation of the procurement platform and the further international roll-out.
