Today, Oslo Innovation Week kicked off it's 10th year anniversary by the Minister of Finance, Siv Jensen and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Monica Mæland (picture). They launched the Government's new plan for entrepreneurship.
Followed by 9 more national and international kick ass entrepreneurs and business leaders, it is clear that Norway has a very bright post-oil future.
One of the speakers, Norwegian entrepreneur, storyteller, tech geek and startup kid, Anita Schjøll Brede, urged everybody with brilliant ideas to quit their regular jobs today! She is a true serial entrepreneur, having developed theatre for kids, she has built a race car, developed solar lights in Kenya, reduced energy consumption in the process industry, and disrupted the recruitment industry – to mention a few.
Spring 2015 Anita was accepted at the prestigious Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Park (Silicon Valley). The ultimate goal of the summer program is for the students to come up with a business idea and innovation, using exponential technology to solve some of the grand challenges - positivity impacting the lives of a billion people within the next decade.
