Follow-up order for PiezoMotor
In the autumn of 2012 PiezoMotor AB in Uppsala, Sweden, received a large order for their piezo electric micro motors from a U.S. customer who now added a follow-up order. The motors are used in an application related to advanced optics. This means that a single customer has purchased motors from PiezoMotor for more than 1.2 million Euros within a 12-month time frame.
"We are following up on last year’s U.S. market breakthrough with an important add-on order. This proves once again that customers see PiezoMotor as a trustworthy supplier and that our technology is becoming increasingly recognized on an international basis. It also shows the potential of our company. A single application has quickly generated more than 1.2 million Euros in sales - and we know that there are many other applications of similar size still out there", says Johan Westermark, CEO of PiezoMotor AB.
PiezoMotor is now expanding its global presence by adding new distributors. During the year, new distributors have been established in Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Korea and Taiwan. The company has already established distributors in the USA, Germany, France, Benelux and Japan.
"The Asian market for micro motors has a very big potential and we feel that the time from development to finished product is shorter in Asia as compared to many other markets. We see great potential for strong growth, particularly in this region", concludes Anders Larsson, Sales and Development Manager at PiezoMotor.
