Both Planmeca Viso™ G5 and Planmeca Solanna™ Vision awarded in the Fennia Prize 20 design competition

It was a double win for Planmeca in this year’s Fennia Prize design competition. The Planmeca Viso G5 CBCT imaging unit received the Fennia Prize Winner award, while the Planmeca Solanna Vision operating light with integrated 4K cameras was awarded with an honourable mention in the same competition.

Fennia Prize, one of the largest design competitions in Finland, aims to award companies and organisations that use design strategically in their business operations. The competition, held every two years, accepts as entries products, concepts and services that have been created by using design comprehensively and innovatively.

Planmeca has taken home two awards from this year’s Fennia Prize competition − the Fennia Prize Winner award as well as the Fennia Prize honourable mention.

The Planmeca Viso™ G5 imaging unit received the Fennia Prize Winner award. It is part of the Planmeca Viso™ CBCT unit family and can be used for many indications ranging from 2D imaging to the most demanding maxillofacial diagnostics. The patient can be positioned easily with the help of the unit’s integrated cameras and live video view.

“Winning the Fennia Prize is a valuable recognition for our design team. We work hard to always go above and beyond to offer the most comfortable imaging experience for both the dental team and the patients, and we are delighted that our efforts have not gone unnoticed,” says Planmeca’s Industrial Design Manager Kari Malmén.

In addition, the Planmeca Solanna Vision operating light received an honourable mention in the same competition. The operating light has two integrated 4K cameras and microphones, and it can be used for taking still images of the patient’s teeth or for recording dental procedures, among other things. The light brings completely new possibilities for patient communication, consultation, documentation and dental education.

Planmeca Solanna Vision also recently won the Red Dot design award. Find out more >
