GREAT VISITOR NUMBERS AT ABBA THE MUSEUM AND POP HOUSE HOTEL!

THE SUMMER IS OFF TO A GOOD START FOR THE HOUSE OF MUSIC AT DJURGÅRDEN IN STOCKHOLM. ABBA THE MUSEUM & SWEDISH MUSIC HALL OF FAME ARE REPORTING AN ALL TIME HIGH IN VISITOR NUMBERS, UP 10% COMPARED TO JULY 2014. MOREOVER, THE POP HOUSE HOTEL, LOCATED IN THE SAME BUILDING AS THE MUSEUM, IS UP AN ENTIRE 17% COMPARED TO LAST YEAR.

“We are very grateful for these figures,” says Pelle Lindberg, CEO of Pop House Sweden, which owns the building. “They are proof that we have made the right call in our endeavours.”

Furthermore, the museum has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, where over 80% of the 1,800 ratings are either excellent are very good.

“Such recognition is the most important of all – that our visitors are so pleased with their experience. We will never be better than the latest reviews of our guests,” said Ingmarie Halling, Director of the museum and curator of ABBA The Museum.

Relaunched in April 2015, the Pop House Hotel is located in the same building as ABBA The Museum and the Swedish Music Hall of Fame, of which Björn Ulvaeus is part owner. The hotel is unique thanks to its strong connection to the operations housed in the building, namely exhibitions about Swedish pop music, the Swedish Music Hall of Fame and ABBA the Museum. In July, the hotel reported a record month, up 17% compared to last year.
