The quays at West Harbour under development

At the West Harbour, extensive changes to the quay LJ5 in front of the West Terminal have begun. The quay is being adapted for operation with the new Eckerö Line ship, Finlandia.

The concrete structures of the quay's projecting section for the stern doors of ships will be widened and a hydraulic steel ramp will be installed for loading and unloading the vessel. Changes will also be made to the existing pier and a landing building will be constructed in connection with it. The work will be completed next summer.

A completely new quay LJ7 is being constructed in the extension of the harbour at the end of the West Harbour. The new quay will be introduced in March 2013 and will serve the increasing car ferry traffic to and from Tallinn.
