Removal of pharmaceutical residue from wastewater is today´s topic at Innovatten

Today Primozone is holding a presentation at a conference on removal of pharmaceutical residue. A Swedish regionally financed project has put their mind to finding solutions.

The prevalence of pharmaceutical residue in waste and drinking water is well known, researched and documented. Now it is time to focus on the solutions.

There are very few available techniques that efficiently reduce the level of pharmaceutical residue in our waters - ozone is efficient in breaking down pharmaceuticals as it is selective oxidant and primarily attacks electron rich structures in molecules, such as double bonds.
