Projectplace Planner is live - planning that challenges Excel.

Leading Swedish online project management provider, Projectplace, launches a web based planning tool within the new product package Planner Edition, a light version of the project tool.

Today, Projectplace launches the real live version of the web based planning tool, Projectplace Planner. Projectplace Planner is designed as an substitute tool for people that for example use Excel or MS Project as a tool for planning. It's an intuitive, quick and communicative planning tool for people in modern projects.

- Projectplace Planner can be compared to Google Docs for project planning and is designed to stop the use of Excel for planning purposes forever, says Mattias Hällström, Founder and Manager of Product Development. We released a beta version a couple of months ago and more than 4000 people have already signed up for the trial proving there is a need for a visual and ready to use planning tool.

With Projectplace Planner it's very easy to list activities and then organize the entries easily by a drag and drop function. The plan can be shared and reviewed by others, whether or not they have Projectplace Planner themselves. Recipients receive a link to the plan and are able to comment and make changes directly in their web browser.

The Projectplace Planner beta version was launched in September and has been tested and evaluated by thousands of users. For the launch of the the real edition, some major improvements have been made thanks to the user input.

- We have worked transparently with our clients and beta testers throughout the development of Projectplace Planner. We have developed the product according to their feedback, and are proud to launch a planning tool that is designed from scratch to make planning easy to do and easy to share, says Mattias Hällström.

The new packaging, Planner Edition, includes Projectplace Planner and document management functions within a personal workspace on the web. Planner Edition costs 9 Euro per month.
