Projectplace Presents New Resource Management Features

Projectplace, the European leader in online project collaboration, and proventis GmbH, developer of the renowned web-based project management software Blue Ant, today announced a strategic partnership as well as the availability of the Blue Ant tool in Projectplace. This cooperation enables Projectplace users to streamline their project work.

Recourse management presents an increasing challenge for project intensive companies since there is a growing trend towards businesses working in projects. Organizations need to be able to continuously overlook availability of resources for multiple ongoing and future projects on an enterprise level. This is necessary in order to avoid bottlenecks and delays, generated by the lack of employees and other resources.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our customers the great opportunity for strategic resource planning that Blue Ant provides,” said Patrik Kjellin, Business Development Manager at Projectplace. “The process of identifying the right resources for upcoming projects can be time consuming in itself. We regard Blue Ant as the perfect partner in this matter since it is a straightforward tool that facilitates this challenge tremendously. Other important criteria for us were to find a partner who is in line with our Social Project Management approach and open via APIs.”

The new resource management features for Projectplace users include the following benefits:

  • Get an overview over resources and their skills for scheduled and ongoing projects
  • Find existing resources and utilize them the best way
  • Identify potential delays caused by overbooked resources before they negatively affect the project
  • Generate cost- and utilization reports for different project groups and departments

"In Projectplace we've found a partner whose vision and goals, when it comes to collaborative project management work, complement ours perfectly" says Norman Frischmuth, director of proventis GmbH. "We're really excited about the huge potential that integrating the Blue Ant module into the Projectplace tool is going to offer users in their project and resource management work.”

Blue Ant has already achieved much success across various industries and brought benefits to its users, for example Oberfinanzdirektion Niedersachsen, OFD:

“The introduction of the resource management gives us a transparent overview of the regional finance office’s existent knowledge,” said Thomas Jahn, Resource Manager at OFD. “Among others, we provide the project managers and project employees with the greatest possible competency in relation to different skills. This has a strategically large bearing for our personnel development.”

The Blue Ant tool is an add on to Projectplace. See a video for more informamation or visit our website.
