Titanium Metal Treatment additive introduced

PETALING JAYA: Is there such thing as a universal additive?

Yes, there is and it's called Titanium Metal Treatment with Zero Friction Technology, according to direct-selling company QNET.

As the name suggests, Titanium Metal Treatment is a fluid that treats metal surfaces, acting on them to ensure they slide smoothly on each other. It forms a tough low friction shield that QNet claims is able to withstand up to five times more weight and friction when compared to other high performance lubricants.  

It is said to be compatible with all types of oil, greases or lubricants used in cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers, heavy-duty vehicles and other types of machinery. 

Its list of benefits appeared impressive.

Besides outstanding engine performance and prolonging engine life, other key benefits promised by the fully synthetic product are improving fuel economy up to 30%, keeping engine cooler, smoother and quieter up to 15%, increasing acceleration up to five times as well as keeping engine oil clean and extending engine oil change up to 5,000km.

Its use in new engines will also not void their warranty, QNET regional director Kuna Senathirajah said at the launch of the product here on Thursday.

In addition, the additive can be used on its own to provide a lasting protective film where metal surfaces tend to rub against each other.

The additive is produced at Platinum Oil & Gas (PO&G) facilities in Malacca and Johor.

Titanium Metal Treatment is available in 236ml and retails for RM170 per bottle. One bottle can be mixed with 4-litres of engine oil, said PO&G managing director Datuk Suhaimi Hashim.

The ceremony also saw QNET Malaysia and PO&G sign a supply and distribution agreement to market the additive exclusively through QNET locally and worldwide.

“We are already working with PO&G to take this product internationally, starting with Indonesia and Vietnam, followed by Europe where we have an office in Germany," said Kuna.

"At the same time, we are also working at producing different ranges of oil for different vehicles in different markets."

QNET, a member of the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia, has over five million agents in more than 100 countries, marketing its products that includes nutrition, fashion accessories and home care items.

This is the company's first foray into autocare products, which like its other products, are sold via e-commerce.
