QNET bags Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's e-commerce direct-selling conglomerate, QNET, has won the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia (DSAM) Outstanding Entrepreneur Award 2021.

QNET is the flagship business of the QI Group which has its operational headquarters in Malaysia.

Aptly themed "Next is Now", the event highlighted the resilience of companies, communities, and individuals within the direct selling industry in response to the pandemic during the past twelve months.

Three distributors from QNET, Asia's rising direct selling company, were nominated for this award for their ongoing efforts and success in serving customers with QNET's high-quality, life-enhancing products despite the unprecedented global situation.

"Technological innovation and timely marketing pivots, like our flagship bi-annual convention in a fully digital format, were crucial factors contributing to the resilience the direct selling industry demonstrated over the past year," QNET chief executive officer Malou Caluza said.

"But direct selling is a business that revolves around people and community, more than any other factor.

"We would not be standing here today without the passion and drive shown by our distributors as they continued to overcome technological challenges and changing norms to achieve their goals.

"I'm so proud to have our distributors be acknowledged by this award and am thankful to the Direct Selling Association of Malaysia for allowing them to share their valuable experiences."

Caluza said digital transformation and evolving marketing efforts were essential to the industry's continued strength, as evident in the World' Federation of Direct Selling's (WFDSA) latest sales report.

According to the report, Malaysia saw one of the highest growth rates in year-over-year direct sales at 15.8 per cent between 2019 and 2020, with over four million active distributors in the country.
