  • Ragn-Sells and Kemira join forces in phosphorus recycling from sewage sludge

    The environmental company Ragn-Sells and Kemira, global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water intensive industries, are starting a collaboration to recycle phosphorus from sewage sludge in Helsingborg. The project was recently awarded SEK 51 million in support from Klimatklivet, Sweden's state investment aid supporting technology that reduces climate emissions.

  • Phosphorus recovery solution receives multi-million grant from Swedish EPA

    The environmental company Ragn-Sells' project to extract phosphorus from sewage sludge has been granted 51 MSEK from the Swedish EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), a grant program initiated by the Swedish government to support technology that reduces climate emissions and environmental actions.

  • Sustainable leaching of gold made possible with new technology

    The innovation company Chromafora is developing a method for leaching and separating gold from primary ore and electronic waste. The main difference from conventional cyanide leaching is that the direct danger to the working environment and the actual environment is reduced. In addition, the permit process is simplified with the new technology, which opens up for establishing new facilities.

  • Ragn-Sells join “1.5°C Supply Chain Leaders”

    The environmental company Ragn-Sells, together with Nestlé and Telefónica, has announced that they have joined the 1.5°C Supply Chain Leaders’ group. That means that Ragn-Sells now, in company of other global corporations like Ericsson, IKEA, Telia, BT Group and Unilever, are committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions across their value chain, in line with the 1.5°C ambition.

  • Ragn-Sells and EasyMining participates in EAT’s digital event EAT@Home on December 17

    Ragn-Sells innovation company EasyMining has developed solutions for detoxifying and recirculating both phosphorus and nitrogen with a low carbon footprint. The challenge is that these recycled products cannot be used with current EU-legislation. On that topic, Pär Larshans, Ragn-Sells, and Anna Lundbom, EasyMining, will on December 17 participate in EAT’s digital event EAT@Home.

Christian Kabbe is CEO of Ragn-Sells´ innovation company EasyMining in Germany and thus plays an important role for phosphorus recovery from incinerated sewage sludge in the country, for which the company has a unique patented technology.

  • Groundwater expert, Dr John Cherry, wins 2020 Stockholm Water Prize

    Dr John Cherry receives the Stockholm Water Prize 2020. His work has raised awareness of how groundwater contamination is growing across the world and has led to new, more efficient methods to tackle the problem. Ragn-Sells, one of the founders of the award, congratulates him and are looking forward to the award ceremony which takes place on August 26 during the Water Week in Stockholm.

  • Yariv Cohen awarded for process extracting phosphorus from sewage sludge

    The Swedish Chemical Engineers Nat. Assn. (SKR) chemical engineering award 2019 will be awarded to Yariv Cohen, Development Manager at EasyMining. He receives the prize for his efforts to develop chemical processes for the extraction of nutrients and metals from waste. His processes can solve important problems in society and help create a working circular economy in real life, not just in theory.

  • Ragn-Sells and Gelsenwasser enter partnership on phosphorus recovery in Germany

    EasyMining, a subsidiary of the Swedish environmental company Ragn-Sells, has signed a letter of intent with the German utilities company Gelsenwasser AG. Under the agreement, a pilot study will be carried out with the objective to create a facility for phosphorus recovery from incinerated sewage sludge in Germany, based on EasyMining’s patented Ash2Phos technology.
