Instant access to “Spotify for Artists” with Record Union

From today, the music distribution company Record Union will start offering artists and music makers, connected to the platform, instant access to Spotify for Artists. The tool empowers artists to collaborate with their teams through music and data, educational resources and tools to control their brand and presence on Spotify.

With Spotify for Artists, artists and their teams will be able to:

Tell their story through a verified account.
Artists will be able to manage their presence on Spotify through a verified profile and personalized dashboard where they can upload a profile image and write an artist pick and biography to share their latest thoughts, sell merch and tell their fans about upcoming gigs and what music they like through artist playlists.

Promote their music via playlist submission.
Once the artist’s profile is created, artists will also be able to deliver their unreleased music to Spotify’s editorial team for playlist consideration, and thereby reach a potential new and bigger audience.

Measure their noise with audience insights.
With access to Spotify for Artists, artists and their teams will be equipped with statistics and data on their music and fans, e.g. who’s listening to their music, where they’re listening and what playlists they’ve been featured on to help them grow their audience, evolve the sound and decide where to tour.

Learn how to get the most out of Spotify
Through great resources like Best Advice and The Game Plan, alongside important milestone notifications (like playlist, follower counts and streams), artists can learn how to best use Spotify’s data and promotional tools from fellow musicians.

- We’re aiming at strengthening the independent music community by making the industry more democratic, accessible and transparent. By integrating Spotify for Artists on our platform, we can provide artists and music makers with better tools to promote their music on the platform and to understand their Spotify fans and their behavior, which feels like just the right step on this journey, says Johan Svanberg, CEO of Record Union.

- Record Union and Spotify have been working together for more than a decade, and they're an important partner to us. We're looking forward to developing our relationship further and taking it to the next level by integrating Spotify for Artists on our platform, which feels like a natural step in our collaboration, says Johan Svanberg.

Artist and music makers that are already connected to Record Union, can get instant access to Spotify for Artist by logging in to their Record Union account. The application is also available to all new Record Union users.
