Press release -

Redpill Linpro in public sector offensive for collaboration tools

The Open Source specialist and digital societies builder Redpill Linpro, has announced that seven different digital collaboration tools, bundled and operated by the company, have been recommended in the eSam report “Digital collaboration platform for the public sector” (Sw: Digital samarbetsplattform för offentlig sektor), which was published today.

The report includes various regulatory compliant digital collaboration tools for the public sector, and was drawn up in response to a need for digital collaboration platforms that meet legislative and functionality requirements and can replace Microsoft Teams.

It is very positive that eSam has now published its recommendations and we are pleased to be able to offer several different alternatives. Following the introduction of GDPR, and particularly after the Schrems II judgment last year, we have witnessed an enormous rise in demand for alternative collaboration tools from government authorities, municipalities and also from the private sector,” says Henrik Gavelli, CEO of Redpill Linpro.

The report is a collaboration between many government authorities and municipalities where an evaluation group tested and assessed a number of different digital collaboration tools. As a major supplier to the public sector, Redpill Linpro already provides a number of Open Source-based solutions to government authorities, including the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Maritime Administration, the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority.

We know that a number of government authorities and municipalities have been waiting for the publication of this report before replacing their current solutions. We look forward to being part of this transformation to help the public sector to increase accessibility and thereby create even better societal benefits,” says Henrik Gavelli.

The following collaboration solutions from Redpill Linpro are now approved by eSam. They will be offered as ready-to-use solutions, both as on-premises and private cloud services, through the framework agreement regarding “Software services and system development” via the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency in Sweden:
