Munich, Germany – A sustainable and energy-conscious lifestyle is becoming increasingly important for many people. Choosing the right appliances can make a significant difference. This fall, Bosch is introducing two new laundry care appliances that are particularly energy-efficient and offer a variety of features for effortless laundry care. The Series 8 Heat Pump Dryer achieves the best energy efficiency class A and offers innovative features to support a sustainable lifestyle. Meanwhile, the new Series 8 Washing Machine has a capacity of 11 kg and is 20% more efficient than energy efficiency class A.

Series 8 Heat Pump Dryer: energy efficiency at its best

With their energy efficiency class A rating, the new Series 8 Heat Pump Dryer is setting a new standard for sustainable laundry care. No matter how full your laundry basket is, you can switch on the new dryer at any time with a clear conscience and be sure of effortlessly achieving great results. It saves up to 78% of energy compared to conventional tumble dryers[1], making it Bosch’s most energy-efficient dryer to date. With its modern design, including a new door aesthetic, the dryer is a real eye-catcher in every household. It is equipped with a Self Cleaning Condenser which eliminates manual effort: The condenser automatically removes lint up to four times during each cycle, for constant low energy consumption. Additionally, the new Series 8 dryer is equipped with the new Air Max Dry technology, which allows to dry clothes effectively while minimizing energy consumption. It optimizes the airflow circulation throughout the dryer to achieve the best energy efficiency class A. But this is not all. Certain laundry items are sensitive to being dried at high temperatures and can become damaged. To avoid these risks, the new dryer uses Cool Dry, allowing it to dry with up to 25% lower temperatures[2] to protect your garments in all daily programs. To complement the impressive feature set, Bosch is introducing its new Wool Program which can run without any additional accessory requirement like a wool basket. It uses lower drying temperatures and increased drum rotation speed to dry wool clothes without straining them. When connected to the Bosch Home Connect app[3], the dryer offers even more features like Smart Dry and Smart Start: Smart Dry provides the dryer with information about load and residual moisture based on the last washing cycle, allowing it to suggest the best program and indicating its duration. Smart Start automatically selects the optimal start time for connected Bosch appliances based on consumers energy & time preferences. It works seamlessly in the background to ensure that the appliances operate when energy resources are the most eco-friendly and/or cost-effective.

Series 8 Washing Machine: low impact, great results

The new Series 8 Washing Machine is the perfect companion to the dryer. It offers a smart way to save water, energy, and detergent while delivering outstanding results. It offers an impressive capacity of 11 kg and is 20% more efficient than energy efficiency class A. Thanks to i-Dos with Detergent Scan you can be sure to always use the right amount of detergent and softener. You can simply scan your detergent and softener bottles with your Bosch Home Connect app3, and the app automatically receives all relevant data on dosage strength for optimal settings of the washer to get perfect results while saving resources. The new washing machine is also ideal for smaller loads, thanks to its Active Water Plus and Mini Load features. Active Water Plus ensures a highly efficient use of water – even with smaller loads. The technology detects the exact load and adjusts water consumption accordingly, allowing you to save up to 50% of water when washing smaller loads[4]. And thanks to Mini Load, you can even wash single items without bad conscience. Mini Load lets you wash very small loads up to 0.5 kg and cuts energy usage by up to 40%[5]. Another highlight: The Iron Assist program reduces wrinkles by up to 50% for dried laundry[6].
