Polish mobile payment service - now for all

PKO Bank Polski's innovative and full service mobile payment service IKO is now available for non-PKO Bank BP customers. New customers will during the registration process, that takes less then 30 seconds, automatically get a mobile wallet account that can be used for all payment situations

    • Point of Sale (POS) - pay in store, at restaurants, etc. (including future support for NFC)
    • Online - pay at online stores
    • P2P - real-time money transfer person-to-person to beneficiaries identified only by their telephone number
    • Cardless cash withdrawal from ATMs
    • Money vouchers – offline timed vouchers for shopping payments and ATM cash withdrawal

    PKO Bank Polski and McDonald's has prepared a promotion for people using the mobile payments service IKO. McZestaw and Big Mac can be purchased at special price if paying via the phone. The offer is valid at 300 McDonalds throughout the country. The total number of restaurants in Poland that accepts IKO mobile payment is almost 4000.

  • Polish banks plan for mobile payment

    Six of Poland's top banks have teamed up to create a payment system using mobile phones which they believe could grow to rival credit cards and serve as a model for the rest of Europe.
    The system in Poland, which the banks want to have in place by the Christmas shopping season, will be based on a platform introduced by PKO BP, which also controls one of the country's top payment companies
