Wurm Online chooses Allopass for mobile payments

Wurm Online is a 3D game in the form of a persistent fantasy world developed by the Swedish independent developer Onetoofree AB. The players pioneer into a huge terraformable forest inhabited by fantastic creatures and make their mark upon the game by building roads and settlements all while exploring the mysteries of Wurm.

The ingame economy is carefully designed and an important aspect of the game as you are allowed to trade with everything from real estate to items and even your character which is uncommon in the industry.

"I think you should be allowed to benefit from those hours of gameplay and achieved expertise in a virtual world. In Wurm Online, players create items from the raw materials they gather. Their skill in creating a certain type of item decides which quality level the item has. They then sell these items to each other using coins purchased on the web site. Sets of armour created from slain dragons may cost in excess of 200 euro.

"This is a very fair system. We don't sell expertise or items that you use for getting ahead in the game in the web shop', Rolf says. "The silver coins the players purchase will eventually end up in the pocket of another player who has spent time learning how to create high quality items. And of course that player could be you! This way everyone gains on the transaction. In order to get money into the system, we needed a high-end micropayment platform that could do payments in many countries. It was natural to choose Allopass because of their extensive payment options in so many nations."
