On Saturday 13th December, #1 Global Power Metal Band and one of Sweden's most successful artists SABATON conquered yet another milestone. Bringing their EU/UK headline run 'The Legendary Tour' to a close in Stockholm, the capital city of their homeland, the band performed at the enormous 3Arena and became the first ever Swedish heavy metal band to perform at and headline the stadium. A band renowned for celebrating history, now creating their own.

Over the course of the last month, SABATON visited 13 countries with 11 buses housing 220 members of crew, travelling with 25 trucks packed with a staggering 420 tonnes of equipment that brought their mind-blowing stage show to life. The tour's concluding stadium show saw the band perform to a legion of 25,000 fans, making the show both a landmark achievement in their career and a historic moment for Swedish metal.

Speaking on the show, SABATON bassist Pär Sundström shares:
“The Legendary Tour needed to tell a story and go out with a bang. Stockholm was the biggest headline concert in our career and our first ever stadium show.

“The tour was unique in many ways. We ignored the tradition of bringing other bands along with us, and instead created The Legendary Orchestra and brought actors to create an evening with Sabaton, against all advice!

“We brought a stadium-sized production to arenas with a party of 200 travelling crew building our show. So concluding in a stadium was a great way to not only test us as a band but also test our production for these kinds of venues. In the end it was amazing to see our castle in its right environment, staging a show that was emotional for a lot of people involved in the tour.”

A power metal band from a small town in Sweden, have gone from tiny club shows to headlining Sweden Rock Festival, and in the same year being the first Swedish Heavy Metal band to play a stadium show in Sweden. SABATON will resume their busy touring schedule in 2026, with their itinerary taking them through North America for a 32-date tour that's set to kick off on 9th February 2026 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The trek will hit venues across the U.S. and Canada, including major stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston before wrapping in Vancouver, BC in April.
