Stockholm Lecture by Marianne Thieme, founder of world's first Party for the Animals

Marianne Thieme, founder of world's first Party for the Animals (PftA), will present a lecture in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday the 14th of April. Her talk will be on encouraging the animal rights debate and its political meaning. The event is organised in cooperation with the Swedish party for the animals, Djurens parti. Anyone who’s interested in animal rights, animal welfare, sustainability, climate change and politics is welcome to attend! Moreover, this lecture could help you make a better choice in the upcoming Swedish elections. The Dutch Party for the Animals is the first political party in the world that does not put the short-term interests of human beings first, but focuses on the entire planet and all of its inhabitants. As the founder and party leader of the PftA, Marianne Thieme will talk about her role in stimulating the animal rights debate both in the Netherlands and abroad. She will also talk about improving the position of animals, nature and the environment through politics. Since the PftA was founded in 2002, a movement that politically represents the cross-border interests of animals, nature and the environment, is developing worldwide. Today there are 19 like-minded political parties in 19 countries around the world (including Djurens parti) and more parties are being founded every year.
