Proud to Support Anne’s Journey with Team Rynkeby!
We are proud to have sponsored Team Rynkeby as our Country Manager Finland, Anne Jääskeläinen, participated in a cycling journey with Team Rynkeby to raise vital funds for children with cancer. Supporting this initiative means standing with children and families who are struggling with critical illnesses, and we are honored to contribute to such an important cause.
Anne’s determination and resilience throughout the tour exemplify the spirit of Team Rynkeby. Over the course of a week, the team cycled more than 900 kilometers through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, and France, climbing over 13,000 meters of elevation before finally reaching Paris with her teammates.
When asked about the most challenging part of the ride, Anne reflected:
“Overall, my tour went well. It is hard to say what was most challenging. Our route took us to Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany and France. Along the over 900-kilometer-long tour, we climbed many famous mountain passes like the Stelvio Pass (Italy). Finally, we reached Paris after conquering over 13,000 meters of elevation. Climbing steep and long mountain passes is challenging not only physically but also mentally. Sometimes riding down can also be challenging, like riding down Stelvio in heavy rain. The roads can be slippery when wet and the brakes do not work as effectively as when they are dry.
Despite the physical and mental challenges, Anne described the experience as unforgettable.
“The ride was tough, but the teamwork, encouragement, and the thought of the children we were riding for kept us going. Reaching Paris with my teammates was unforgettable.”
This year, Team Rynkeby’s efforts across Europe raised over €8.5 million for children with critical illnesses. This remarkable achievement will help fund research and provide vital support to young patients and their families.
We are deeply proud to have played a role in this success and congratulate Anne and her teammates on their outstanding accomplishment.
About Team Rynkeby
Team Rynkeby is a Nordic charity cycling team that raises money for seriously ill children. Founded in 2002, the initiative now includes teams from several European countries. Each summer, the riders cycle to Paris, raising millions of euros for children’s cancer foundations.
