Swedish VR games studio SVRVIVE claims 15% share of HTC Vive market in just one month

  • Demo title claims 15% share of HTC Vive market in just one month
  • Full title scoped for release in the fourth quarter

Stockholm, Sweden – September 14 2016: Swedish indie VR games studio SVRVIVE has this week announced more than 11,000 downloads of the demo version of its namesake RPG puzzle title for the HTC Vive.

Having launched less than a month ago following a record $6m valuation and $1.8m in initial funding, the announcement follows a warm critical response from media, players and tastemakers alike ahead of its formal release this fall. Having made the transition from CEO Faviana Vangelius’s living room to their new central Stockholm headquarters in just four months, SVRVIVE came to market with a who’s who advisory board, including HTC's own SVP of Virtual Reality Rikard Steiber, Neat Corporation's founder Jenny Nordenborg (creator of much-hyped Budget Cuts) and Spotify legal advisor Sofia Sheppard.

With the full game of SVRVIVE slated for release in the fourth quarter, early signs point to SVRVIVE’s debut title being an immediate cult classic for the VR games market.
