YOGA RAVE: STOCKHOLM ON A NATURAL HIGH

STOCKHOLM – ‘So What Project!’ starts their Yoga Rave tour in Europe on the 12th of June in Stockholm. The Argentinian band ‘So What Project!’ is transforming the party scene in big cities worldwide. Yoga Rave promotes drug free partying and combines yoga and meditation with exhilarating, electronic beats. Singer, actress and fitness coach Blossom Tainton-Lindquist will host the event.

Nicolas Pucci and Rodrigo Bustos, the musical duo of So What Project!, had a vision of a different kind of party to connect and celebrate in a healthy way. What first started as performances at private homes seven years ago, has developed into Yoga Rave and tours in the American continent, Africa and Europe. Yoga Rave offers a new concept in fun where the mind and body respond to a uniquely crafted sequence of high-energy music, yoga and meditation. The buildup of energy created by the mix of silence and celebration leaves the audience ecstatic, without the use of drugs or alcohol. Nowadays, Yoga Rave is the latest trend in the night clubs of New York, São Paolo and Berlin and in September 2012 So What Project! performed for an audience of 150.000 people in Buenos Aires.

In their worldwide campaign promoting a violence-free and stress-free society, Pucci and Bustos teamed up with two international, non-profit, volunteer based and humanitarian NGOs, the International Art of Living Foundation (IAOLF) and the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). In response to the recent happenings in Husby, Tensta and Rinkeby  and the challenges that the Swedish educational system is facing, IAHV decided to launch the ‘YES! for schools’ program on high schools in the capital. This educational program, provides youth with tools and life skills to manage stress and negative emotions. The Yoga Rave event in Stockholm serves as a starting point for fundraising for the introduction of ‘YES! for schools’.

Yoga Rave will be held on the 12th of June 2013,  at Dieselverkstaden, Marcusplatsen 17, 131 34 Nacka. The event will start at 20.00 hrs.

The Yoga Rave initiative is supported by several well-know Swedes, amongst them Blossom, who will be hosting the evening and lead the yoga.
