South Korean hip-hop group BTS European summer tour “1st fanmeeting in Europe <RWeL8?> ”
The South Korean hip-hop group BTS has announced their first ever European tour - set for summer 2014. The energy intense tour “1st fanmeeting in Europe <RWeL8?>” will kick off Sunday July 27th in Berlin, Germany at the Neue Welt Halle before continuing to Stockholm, Sweden for a second concert at Fryshuset on Tuesday July 29th.
BTS, short for Bangtan Boys, is an award winning all-male hip-hop group from Korea that has achieved an unparalleled popularity both in South Korea and abroad since their debut in June last year. Created by BigHit Entertainment and consisting of the youths Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook the group sets itself apart from the majority of other kpop idols by writing and producing their own music.
With hits such as “N.O”, “Boy In Luv” and their debut single "No More Dream" BTS have consistently used their music to spotlight current themes that trouble teens of today, from love to the conflict to the pressure to perform well in school and achieving one's dreams. In Korea their music has won them prices such as “New Artist of the Year” at MelOn Music Awards, “Best Rookie Award” at Seoul Music Awards and “Newcomer Award” at Golden Disk Awards, winning “Rookie Artist of The Year” at Chinas major award show Yin Yue Tai V Chart Awards.
The group expressed great enthusiasm over coming to Europe and meeting their European fans for the first time, surprised over their big popularity outside of Korea. They promise to give their fans an experience they will never forget.
