New organization for the Vehicle Component Group within the Transport Solutions business group
The Vehicle Component Group is a leading supplier of vehicle components in the Nordics. Since 2017, the Group has acquired eight companies, bringing the total to 13 companies with a turnover of nearly 100 million euros. These niche companies specialize in serving their customer segments and share many commonalities, forming a strong network.
While each company is individually appreciated for its quality service, we believe that some companies within the Group have similar go-to-market strategies, serve the same customers, and could achieve even more together. These relatively small companies have limited resources, and we aim to enhance support functions such as administration, management, finance, and warehouses. Additionally, we want to provide more opportunities for digitalization, product and service development, and recruitment of top personnel.
We are implementing organizational changes in Sweden and Finland, effective immediately as of April 11, to build a stronger and more efficient group.
Purpose of Changes:
The Group is performing well, and these changes are not intended to reduce personnel. Instead, they aim to create more opportunities and allocate more resources to Sales, Marketing, and R&D in the future. All emplyees will be offered employment in the new companies, although some will have new managers and different tasks.
Changes in Sweden:
Merging Companies: HBA, Sternhammar, and CDS will merge into a new company called Abileer AB. All existing sites in Stockholm, Örebro, and Kungälv will remain operational (see attached organization chart).
Leadership: Erik Appell will be the Managing Director of Abileer AB, with Marcus Larsson as the Deputy Managing Director. Abkati and Trako will not be affected by these changes.
Changes in Finland:
Merging Companies: TMT, Transcomponent, and Widni will merge into a new company called TMT Widni Oy. Transcomponent’s well-known brand for boxes (BT) will continue to be developed alongside the TMT brand. All existing sites in Lahti, Närpes, and Helsinki will remain operational. TMT Widni Baltic will continue as a subsidiary of TMT Widni Oy (see attached organization chart). Leadership: Tea Lehto will be the Managing Director of TMT Widni Oy.Parlok Oy and Parlok Trading will not be affected by these changes.
We understand that organizational changes can raise questions, and we value your input as we build these organizations together. If you have any questions, please contact your nearest manager, the Managing Director of each company, or me.
