Bergo Flooring launches the world´s first multifunctional floor tile with IMO-approval.

​After several years of R&D, BERGO FLOORING launches the new BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME. It conforms to MED and IMO Resolutions and meets the requirements by the International Maritime Organization (IMO*) for ship interiors and passenger balconies on mega-yachts, ferries and cruise ships.

BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME is a sound absorbing flooring, ideal for indoor, outdoor and wet areas such as balconies, pool areas, laundry rooms, engine rooms, freezer rooms, etc. The tile allows dirt and water to drain off the walking surface, increasing the passenger comfort and creates a safe, slip resistant surface.

ECO FRIENDLY - BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME features a special mix of an environmentally-friendly, 100% recyclable and PVC-free PA-composite, a perfect material mix with excellent durability.

The multi-function offers not only heavy wear, but can also withstand heat, cold, salt, sun, wind and water, which is needed for all year and around the world service. In addition to the lightweight, draining and venting design, which allows the surface to breathe, it is also pleasant to walk on, even barefoot in warm climate. The maintenance-free and non-organic floor is hard-wearing and copes with very high loads (up to 1000 ton / 1 m2).

EASY TO INSTALL AND QUICK PAY-OFF - BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME is very quick and easy to lay and will protect the painted deck for many years to come. This will save a significant amount of money every year, but also allowing the decks to be open for passengers longer. During installation (which can be carried out any time of the year) the floor tiles adapts to the surface beneath – no need to smooth out any irregularities.

Norwegian Cruise Line orders BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME for their cruise ships balconies Bergo Flooring has supplied deck coverings for over 25 years to hundreds of cruise ships and ferries around the globe. Norwegian Cruise Lines will install the IMO-approved deck covering BERGO EXCELLENCE EXTREME on their balconies during refurbishment two of their ships in the beginning of 2016.
