Furniture company Sjögren releases BIM objects for their product line Easyriser.

The Company Sjögren was founded 1902 by Oskar Herbert Sjögren, during the 110 years of its existence the company has been run by 4 generations of leaders from the same family.

Most of the product lines that are manufactured are designed by famous Carl Malmsten and quality is the focus for Sjögren. In 2010 Sjögren launched an armchair for the private market to help elderly and disabled people to more easily get up from sitting. The chair is unique in that the technology is fully mechanical with no motors or cables.

The chair has been a great success. Now Sjögren have further developed the idea and launches a new model for public environment with even better functionality – Easyriser.

To better support the new product line Easyriser, Sjögren turned to BIMobject® to create digital replicas of the products as BIM objects. The BIM objects will have built in functionality to communicate the strongest unique concept of the chair, its tilt function. The BIM objects can be placed in CAD/BIM software and be used in the design and planning process.

The Easyriser BIM objects are available for free download here.
