BMI GROUP ANNOUNCES NEW ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR REGION NORTH
Icopal and Monier brands united under new BMI management teams in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, UK and Ireland headed by Alfons Horn, newly appointed Regional President BMI Region North.
Herlev, June 13, 2017. After the announcement by Standard Industries in April this year to combine Braas Monier and Icopal under the new name “BMI Group”, the new organisational set-up for the company´s regions has been announced during their management conference in Paris, France, last week.
With immediate effect, Alfons Horn will take over the responsibility as Regional President Region North of the BMI Group covering Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, UK and Ireland. The management teams North reporting directly to Alfons Horn, are already in place and consist of the following BMI country Managing Directors.
- Flemming Adolfsen, Denmark,
- Andy Denis, UK and Ireland,
- Håkan Magnusson, Norway,
- Harri Vouritsalo, Finland, and
- Bengt Widstrand, Sweden
In their new roles they are responsible for the pitched and flat roofing business in their respective country, serving the residential and non-residential market alike.

BMI – bundeling our flat and pitch roof activities in six countries all over Northern Europe - will be launching new services, products and experiences in the roofing segment to support our customers and the contractors in delivering a new roofing experience to the end-user of residential and non-residential roofing solutions.” states Alfons Horn in a first comment.
Alfons Horn looks back on 18 years of experience in the distribution of building materials and was previously Managing Director of the Central region of the Icopal Group.
