BTH-docent leder team inom trådlös kommunikation

Docent Abbas Mohammed leder ett Internationellt expertteam för utgivandet av en specialutgåva av en teknisk journal. Abbas Mohammed leder ett redaktionsteam av experter för en specialutgåva av EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking. Specialutgåvan är betitlad “Advanced Communication Techniques and Applications for High Altitude Platforms”. Denna specialutgåva har tagit emot ca. 30 artiklar från hela världen och förväntas bli publicerad under våren 2008. Avsikten med denna specialutgåva är att lansera forskningen inom denna nya och hitintills okända kommunikationsteknologi för en bredare publik samt att belysa den Europeiska Gemenskapens COST 297 Action's aktiviteter inom detta område. Abbas Mohammed och hans doktorand Tommy Hult är de svenska representanterna och medlemmarna i ledningsgruppen för denna "Action". De har, tillsammans med hans andra doktorand Zhe Yang, varit extremt aktiva med många publikationer inom denna nya teknologi. De har också genomfört flera vetenskapliga samarbetsprojekt med ett flertal av deltagarna inom detta konsortium. The special issue is entitled “Advanced Communication Techniques and Applications for High Altitude Platforms”. The special issue has received about 30 papers from all over the world and is expected to be published in Spring 2008. The aim of this special issue is to promote the research into this new and novel communication technology to a wider audience and to highlight the European Community Cost 297 Action activities in this field. Abbas Mohammed and his PhD student Tommy Hult are the Swedish Representatives and Members of the Management Committee of this Action. They, and his other PhD student Zhe Yang, have been extremely active and published extensively on this novel technology. They also have many collaborations and short-term scientific missions with many partners participating in this consortium.
