Swedish luxury bed brand Carpe Diem Beds launch in the UK with first global store opening in Marylebone, London

Carpe Diem Beds holds over two decades of know-how in creating handmade beds on the Swedish west coast, showcased in top hotels and private homes around the world. The company is now settling in the United Kingdom with an impressive store in the heart of Marylebone, spanning across 270 square metres and two floors, with a stunning design created by the Carpe Diem Beds Retail Design team.

Carpe Diem Beds is a pioneer in Swedish luxury, comfort, and design in its segment, continuously innovating unique solutions for a luxurious bedroom experience, with beds named after islands in the Swedish archipelago inspiring a life of peace and quiet. The brand holds five patents, all helping to create optimal support for your spine and the perfect night’s sleep. These include a Contour Pocket System, Back Support, a Visco-Elastic Bottom Layer, Lumbar Support, and Anti-Pinch Protection.

Founded 20 years ago on the Swedish west coast by Börje Thuleskär, Carpe Diem Beds envisioned a sleeping experience that would reflect the feeling and freedom lying on a bed of heather, enveloped by nature. Börje had a professional background as a chiropractor with previous studies in psychology and recognized the importance of sleeping well to live a healthy life, both mentally and physically.

This paved the way for Carpe Diem Beds’ manifesto: to create a bed so comfortable that anyone who slept in it would know the difference between sleep and sleep. Customers will be able to customise their beds, headboards, and decorative pillows with fabrics in collaboration with Designers Guild and ROMO Group as well as choose from a wide variety of bed legs to create an entirely bespoke bed. The Wigmore Street store is complemented by its e-commerce site where customers across the UK can have a complete brand and product experience. The brand currently ships to 15 countries worldwide.
