A - Assists
Andrea Pirlo and Franck Ribery supplied the most assists in qualifying (six).

B - Bundesliga
Fifty-six of this summer's players are based in Germany's Bundesliga (see E).

C - Corners
Spain and Portugal had the most - 213 between them - in qualifying.

D - Defence
France, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands all conceded just five goals in qualifying.

E - England's Premier League...
...will supply 44 players at Euro 2008, that's more than Spain's La Liga (40), Italy's Serie A (35) and Russia's Premier League (29).

F - Form guide
Italy won nine of their last 10 qualifying matches, but the Czech Republic have the best tournament record. They've won 39 of their 54 games (72 per cent) compared to the Netherlands' 71 wins in 117 (62 per cent).

G - Get stuck in
The Czech Republic committed the most (187) fouls in qualifying.

H - Half-time
Of the 833 goals in qualifying, 482 came before the interval.

Fabio Cannavaro (Italy) and Ryan Babel (Netherlands) are the latest casualties.

According to Castrol's match tracker system Germany's Michael Ballack consistently runs further over 90 minutes than anyone else.

Germany boast the best knock-out record; they've been semi finalists on six occasions and won five.

Edwin van der Sar is among those playing in their last European Championship.

David Healy (13 goals) and Eduardo da Silva (10) were the two highest scorers in qualifying, but aren't involved this summer.

Galatasaray and Bayern Munich each have nine players at Euro 2008 (see T).

The average age of the Italian side is 29.57, three years up on Russia, the youngest team at 26.26. The average player age is 27.60.

P - Prolific
Mario Gomez is Europe's most prolific striker with six goals in nine internationals (66.7 per cent). Jan Koller has 52 in 85 (61.2 per cent).

Q - Qualifying
This is Poland's first appearance. Russia are the only unseeded team.

R - Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo had the most shots in qualifying (31) and was also fouled the most (48).

S - Shoot-out
Seven of the last 21 knockout matches have been decided by penalties.

Olympique Lyonnais and Panathinaikos have 10 representatives at the tournament, more than any other clubs.
