Challengermode enters strategic partnership with North

Today we’re super excited to be announcing our partnership with prestigious esports organization Team North, winners of DreamHack Masters 2018 and one of the best CS:GO teams in the world.

Both Challengermode and North share the ambition of bridging the gap between amateur and professional esports. Providing a clear path to the top for regular gamers and future talents alike. That’s why it was natural for us at Challengermode to reach out to Team North with the proposal of collaborating around grassroots esports and our National Esports Leagues, specifically.

The partnership will make it possible for North to utilize Challengermode as a means of engaging their fans and to hold community-tournaments, with the first edition being a 1on1-tournament where the winner gets to face Nicklas “gade” Gade in a BO3 1on1.

North will promote the recently announced National Leagues in the Nordics with a particular focus on the Danish Esports League, as the team originates from Denmark. Although team North won’t be competing in the DEL themselves (it’s targeted towards amateur and semi-pro teams specifically) it will serve as the perfect scouting grounds for them to recruit up and coming talent within CS:GO and other esports.

The grassroots community is an important part of our industry, and the partnership with Challengermode allows us to give back to them. Creating a clear path to the professional scene is of utmost importance for us, in order to recruit the best players, and we’re happy to help Challengermode do exactly that with the National Esports Leagues” said Christian Sørensen, CEO of North.
