Promising cleantech start-ups awarded second and third prize in the Nordic Cleantech Open.
The innovative Cleantech companies Oricane and Applied Nano Surfaces, both from Sweden, took second and third place as the most promising young start-ups in Scandinavia last night during the finals of the competition Nordic Cleantech Open.
The jury, which consisted of 35 prominent and influential decision makers from all the Nordic countries voted for the companies together with the audience based on the their market potential, technological innovation, and market offer.
Oricane develops environmentally friendly software solutions for data communications and database applications that minimize Internet's overall energy consumption.
Applied Nano Surfaces offers a low friction coating method that significantly enhances the performance and reduces waste of energy in for example combustion engines, bearings and compressors.
Nordic Cleantech Open attracted some 200 participants: among them major investors and financiers in the cleantech sector.
