Cushman & Wakefield advises Starwood Capital and Vencom in sale of retail portfolio to Trophi

Cushman & Wakefield has advised Starwood Capital Group and Vencom in the sale of a large retail portfolio to Trophi Fastighets AB, a company managed by Redito and wholly owned by the Swedish pension fund AP3. The transaction, valued at over SEK 3 billion, is the third-largest in Sweden this year.

The properties are located in Täby (Arninge), Gothenburg (Bäckebol), Uppsala (Boländerna), Malmö (Jägersro), Eskilstuna (Tuna Park) and Landskrona (Weibullsholm) and has a total lettable area of approximately 150,000 sq m. Among the largest tenants are Coop, XXL, Systembolaget, Media Markt, H & M, Åhléns, Lindex, Stadium, Clas Ohlson and Elgiganten. Starwood Capital was the majority owner of the portfolio, while Vencom served as an operating partner and managed the assets.

- We are proud to be Starwood Capital's advisor on this transaction, which includes six major retail venues including several with great development potential, says Thomas Persson, project manager at Cushman & Wakefield.

Trophi is expected to take possession of the properties in September 2016.
