The legend tells that it is the spirit of Marie Manrique de Lara y Mendoza who married a Czech nobleman and diplomat Vratislav II from Pernstejn who built this beautiful castle just for her. The lady fell in love with the castle and lived here until the end of her life.

  • 58th Chodsko Folk Festival – St Lawrence Fair 2012

    Chodsko Folk Festival is one of the largest and oldest folk festivals in the West Bohemia region and the second oldest in the Czech Republic. The first edition of the event took place in 1995 and the number of performers taking part every year is an incredible 600 comprising individuals. It became a tradition to link the festival with the St Lawrence Fair in Domazlice.

  • THE OPERA BAROCCA FESTIVAL

    The Opera Barocca Festival which features a series of musical and dance performances will take place in mid-August at the courtyard of the Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague. Visitors will have a unique chance to experience an authentic baroque atmosphere. The festival programme also includes an exhibition of the baroque costumes prepared by the Franzis Wussin Atelier and based on period iconography.
