Prague Drinks Wine

The Central European Authentic Wine Festival

It will be a unique gathering of more-than forty winemakers from Central Europe with you - lovers of original, quality wines. Come to the Stenberg wine vault of the Troja Chateau to taste more than 400 different wines produced by small family wineries and representing a number of wine regions of Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Italy. Naturally, winemakers from Moravia will be also there. The title of the festival PRAGUE DRINKS WINE is not coincidental: in the past, the city used to be literally surrounded with vineyards while only few were preserved in our times. Still, the Czech capital is a city of wine, as proved by the Troja vineyard.

Smetana’s Litomyšl

A musical experience in Litomyšl, the birthplace of the founder of Czech national music, Bedřich Smetana.

The most famous native of Litomyšl, composer Bedřich Smetana, is celebrated every summer with a big music festival. Dating from 1949, it is the second oldest music festival in the Czech Republic. The main program consists of opera productions, concert versions of operas, gala concerts, oratorios, cantatas and songbook evenings, but the varied program also offers room for ballet, church and promenade concerts or forms that overlap other genres. The center of festival events is the magnificent Litomyšl Renaissance château with a covered courtyard and unique theater, registered as a UNESCO site.

International film festival in Karlovy Vary

Come to Karlovy Vary for the largest and most famous film festival in the country.

The Karlovy Vary Film Festival is the most prestigious film festival in Central Europe and has a unique atmosphere. The first one was held in 1946 in Mariánské Lázně, a year later it was moved to Karlovy Vary and since that time it has taken place in the first half of July.

Each year the festival presents the premieres of more than 200 new films from around the world, of which the best is traditionally awarded the main prize, Crystal Globe, during the closing ceremony. The festival includes a variety of film and social celebrities, thousands of film fans, concerts, ceremonies, parties, press conferences and dozens of accompanying events. The center of the festival is the hotel Thermal, but screenings are held virtually throughout the city.

International Street Theatre Festival

You can get to the centre of one big theatre stage in the very centre of Prague in the thrilling historic scenery for 5 days. Festival bring performances from the whole Europe and even Asia to Prague's squares, streets and yards. Let's join our powers to animate the centre of the city even in summer months.
