Fragile Beauty Jablonec nad Nisou

The Fragile Beauty Exhibition, the largest international exhibition of glass and jewelry in the Czech Republic, was inspired by the tradition of the great jewelry exhibitions that took place in Jablonec nad Nisou in the 1960s and 70s. In addition to the exhibition stands of dozens of companies that maintain the traditions of the Jizera Mountains, a variety of techniques for working with glass, jewelry and ceramics are ready to be seen. The program also includes presentations by glass artists, concerts and fashion shows of clothing and jewelry creations.

Castles Music Festival

This tenth annual festival will fill eight castles in Bohemia and Moravia with music. The traveling music festival Castles CZ, which will stop at eight castles throughout the Czech Republic during the summer as part of the festivals of Czech Castles and Moravian Castles, is being held for the tenth time. Every year the program, which traditionally begins at Točník Castle not far from Prague, offers the best of the current Czech pop-rock music scene. The festival will gradually visit the castles of Švihov, Kunětická hora, Rožmberk nad Vltavou, Veveří, Hradec nad Moravicí and Bezděz. The program closes during the last holiday weekend with a concert at the castle Bouzov near Olomouc.

Brno Biennial 2014

Brno again becomes the capital of graphic design. This international competition represents all forms of contemporary graphic design. This year’s 26th gathering focuses on education and draws schools and students, for whom lifestyle is increasingly associated with graphic design, into the vortex of events that surround Biennale. After the opening ceremony on Thursday, 19 June 2014, you can view all the entries in the exhibition halls of the Moravian Gallery in Brno. The program also includes a cross-section of works on exhibit by the judges and other distinguished guests, concerts, and an international symposium.

"Andy Warhol - I¨m OK" in Prague

The exhibition titled "Andy Warhol - I'm OK" presents the work of this unique artist in a wide range of his activities. From classic works such as Mao, Flowers, Marilyn Monroe and Campbell's Soup, which fall under the Sunday B. Morning edition, to beautiful hand-colored Flowers. There is also a unique collection of packaging for long-playing gramophone records from the years 1949-1987, which Andy Warhol designed himself. At the exhibition there will be 40 out of the 51 pieces, including the famous album Andy Warhol's Velvet Undeground featuring Nico. Part of the exhibition is also a screen printing workshop in which everyone can try this popular artistic technique of Andy Warhol.
